Beloved Performer Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Roles in The Middle and Friends, Dies at the Age of Sixty.

Stateside actor Pat Finn, who was seen in popular programs like Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has succumbed at 60 years old.

The comedic improv actor died at home in Los Angeles, California this Monday after undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis beginning in 2022, as reported by reports.

"He saw everyone as a friend - just potential friends he didn't know yet," his relatives shared in a statement.

They continued that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".

A Prolific TV Career

His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the titular character's brother.

He subsequently landed a regular part on "Murphy Brown" between 1995 and 1997.

He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in the late 90s, playing a party host who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he made guest appearances on several hit series, such as:

  • The King of Queens
  • "Friends"
  • That '70s Show
  • "House"

Finn was perhaps best known for portraying the character Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons of the show over nearly a decade.

His work in movies are It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.

Beyond the Screen

Away from his television work, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a professor.

He was involved with a six-member improv team known as Beer Shark Mice.

"Finn coached, befriended and mentored many learners during his career and it's nearly impossible to find someone who has an unkind word to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Offering condolences, peer actor Richard Kind said there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," he shared publicly.

The actor is leaves behind his wife Donna, his children, and his parents and siblings.
