Wilfried Nancy stated he did not fear dismissal, claiming, “We are really close to things turning around,” despite edging perilously close to the chopping block with a comprehensive loss to their arch-rivals.

He remains focused on the fact the side play well for one half at a time. In fact, were it not for wastefulness in front of goal they might have been greater than 1-0 up. “The performance had merit aside from the fact that we missed a second goal,” he said. “I know that we lost, but I must remain objective.
“The level we had at times was exceptionally high. This is the reality. And I would not speak so positively if it was different. That is the reason, in terms of results, I said this is the same story. Which is why I said that we are nearly there to a shift in fortunes. Right now: the fine margins.”
“There were many, many good things that we did, once more. But now it’s about consistency. My outlook would be different if it was not the case. Therefore I am a big believer we will manage to turn things around.”
Röhl’s Cautious Stance
The victorious boss refused to contemplate a title charge despite what appeared to be a landmark win. “Step by step, then we can gradually build momentum,” he said. “The faith in the group is outstanding.”
