Rescue organizations handled over five hundred calls for help across the region, primarily for structural issues but also for fallen timber and inundation.

Damp conditions were predicted to continue along significant areas of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.

Health Warning
Public health experts cautioned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
